Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 171 : Sudden Appearance

Tension was palpable as the Third Captain faced off against Zephyr and Gwendolyn.

From a distance, Brixton and the others watched with solemn expressions, while spectators in the background buzzed with excitement, eager to see what would unfold next.

Zephyr's gaze flickered between the Third Captain and Gwendolyn, his mind racing.

Despite many members of the Battle Wolves Adventurer Team having fallen to Trinity's attack, the arrival of the Third Captain cast a shadow over their hopes.

Although he had brought a few allies along, their strength paled in comparison to that of the Battle Wolves.

If they were to engage in battle, victory would come at a steep price.

ROARRRRRRR!

A deafening roar echoed through the outer area Twilight Mountain Range, sending shockwaves of fear rippling through everyone present.

Almost all Adventurers and Mana Cultivators in the outer area of the Twilight Mountain Range immediately had their faces changed drastically.

Adventurers and Mana Cultivators alike scrambled for safety, fleeing as if their lives depended on it.

The spectators who were waiting to see some actions between the Battle Wolves and the Morningstar Adventurer Team immediately run away without looking back.

Zephyr, Gwendolyn, and even the Third Captain felt their hearts race; only the Battle Wolves Adventurer Team and Morningstar Adventurer Team remained rooted in place.

"What was that?" Melian gasped, her voice trembling with horror.

"That sounds like a Magical Beast," Aegbor replied gravely.

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered overhead as thunder rumbled ominously. A brilliant violet bolt of lightning flashed across the sky.

"This…!" Zephyr exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Before anyone could react further, another massive violet bolt struck right in front of them.

The blinding light forced everyone to shield their eyes until they reopened them to reveal a figure clad in pristine white,a long overcoat draped elegantly over his shoulders, and holding a golden cane. His expression was cold yet calm.

"Big bro!" Zephyr, Gwendolyn, and Brixton shouted simultaneously, excitement lighting up their faces at Felix's sudden appearance.

But before they could fully process this unexpected reunion—

ROAR!

This time it was an even louder roar that filled the air.

Two beams of golden light shot across the sky above them like shooting stars.

An overwhelming aura descended upon them; even those who were stronger struggled to breathe under its weight.

They looked up, and froze in terror at what loomed above: two behemoths floating majestically.

"Are those… Five-Winged Golden Lions?" Melian stuttered, her face paling as fear gripped her heart.

"Big brother Zephyr! Big sister Gwendolyn!" came a clear voice from atop one of the lions.

"Huh? Nixie? Is that you?" Zephyr's astonishment turned into joy as he recognized her perched on one of these magnificent creatures.

"Yeah, it's me," Nixie said, her voice steady as she scanned the chaotic scene before her.

But her expression shifted dramatically when she spotted Trinity lying in Brixton's arms, seriously injured.

Panic surged through her as she urged the Five Winged Golden Lions to descend swiftly. Rushing toward them, she called out, "Brixton! What happened? Is Big okay?"

Brixton met her gaze and simply shook his head.

The members of both the Battle Wolves Adventurer Team and the Morningstar Adventurer Team stood frozen in shock, staring at Nixie who had just leaped down from the backs of these massive beasts.

The Third Captain eyed the two behemoths before turning his attention to Felix, who remained eerily calm amidst the chaos.

"Who are you?" he demanded cautiously, taking a deep breath.

He hadn't anticipated that the Morningstar Adventurer Team possessed such formidable strength, enough to subdue two Six Winged Golden Lions.

Felix ignored him completely and focused on Trinity cradled in Brixton's arms. A frown creased his brow as he asked coldly, "What caused her injuries?"

Brixton glanced at Felix and then at Lyruis standing nervously behind the Third Captain.

Felix turned his piercing gaze toward Lyruis as if appraising a lifeless object. "You did this, didn't you?"

Lyruis's face drained of color as he stumbled backward, fear evident in his eyes. "I... I... I..." His words faltered, caught in his throat.

He was shaking I'm fear, he felt the moment Felix looked at him, his life was longer under his control.

"You're dead," Felix stated flatly. With a swift motion, a metallic glove adorned with sharp crimson claws materialized on his left hand.

A violet magic circle flickered in his eyes. Before either the Third Captain or Lyruis could react, Lyruis felt a sudden dizziness wash over him.

He looked down to see a hand gripping tightly around his neck, a chilling realization struck him as he met Felix's unyielding gaze.

In an instant, Felix lifted him off the ground while tightening his grip until it was unbearable.

With brutal efficiency, Felix plunged those crimson claws into Lyruis's chest; they emerged from his back holding a still-beating heart.

Terror etched across Lyruis's face as life slipped away from him slowly and painfully.

Without hesitation, Felix flung Lyruis's lifeless body towards the Third Captain and discarded the heart like it was nothing more than refuse, all within mere seconds.

Felix's demeanor remained cold and emotionless as he turned to face the stunned Third Captain.

The Third Captain's expression darkened; disbelief mingled with fury painted across his features.

He hadn't expected such disrespect, his subordinate killed right before him without so much as a glance of acknowledgment from Felix.

"You..." The Third Captain stared down at Lyruis's lifeless body, his face contorted in disgust.

But he quickly inhaled deeply, forcing himself to regain composure.

As Felix appeared, the Captain attempted to gauge his strength, only to find an unsettling void, no Mana fluctuations whatsoever. This unnerving realization made him wary.

"Big bro, you handle this guy; we'll take care of the rest!" Zephyr suddenly chimed in, casting a glance at Felix.

Felix merely shook his head. "It's too slow; I don't have time for this." With that declaration, a long blade materialized in his hand as he turned his gaze toward the members of the Battle Wolves Adventurer Team.

Zephyr was taken aback and offered a wry smile at Felix's confidence.

In an instant, Felix's body quivered slightly as clones, hundreds of them, materialized around them, each one an exact replica of him.

The Third Captain's expression shifted from disbelief to alarm as he roared, "Everyone! Stay alert and defend yourselves!"

Before they could react, Felix's clones surged forward like phantoms through the air.

Screams of pain echoed as limbs and heads were severed; blood splattered everywhere like a gruesome painting come to life.

The adventurers fought back desperately but soon realized something horrifying: their attacks passed through these spectral duplicates as if they were mere illusions.

Yet bizarrely enough, those very clones could inflict real damage upon them! Even the Third Captain was stunned, this was unlike anything he had ever witnessed.

When reality set back in for the Third Captain, he found himself surrounded by carnage: all remaining members of the Battle Wolves Adventurer Team lay dead amidst a grotesque scene of dismemberment and bloodshed.

Dazed and confused, he struggled to comprehend how nearly a thousand warriors had perished in mere moments.

Suddenly, a flash caught his eye, a white figure stood before him.

It was Felix, pristine and untouched by battle despite the chaos behind him.

Shock coursed through the Captain as instinct kicked in; he stepped back involuntarily.

Felix stood tall against the backdrop of crimson chaos, a stark contrast that sent shivers down the Third Captain's spine.
