Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 312: Weather Manipulation Satellite

Michael's feeling was overflowing. Like finally, Bridget had accepted him and at the same time, he finished a mission that he badly needed to complete to purchase items from the system shop.

"So how does it feel? To get me to be yours?" Bridget asked playfully, her eyes twinkling with amusement and affection.

Michael chuckled, pulling her closer. "It feels incredible. Like everything is finally falling into place."

Bridget smiled, resting her head against his chest. "Good. Because I'm not going anywhere."

They stood there for a while longer, simply enjoying the moment and each other's presence.

"Stay on me okay? I will do everything in my power to keep you safe and happy," Michael said softly.

Bridget looked up at him, her eyes shining with trust. "I know you will, Michael. And I'll be right here, supporting you every step of the way."

They shared another tender kiss, sealing their promise to each other. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them in their perfect moment.

The next morning, Michael woke up with a renewed sense of purpose. The events of the previous night were still fresh in his mind, he knew he had to keep pushing forward, both for his mission and for the future he wanted to build with Bridget.

He glanced at Bridget, who was still asleep beside him and felt a surge of affection. Quietly, he got out of bed and went to the balcony, taking in the serene view of Boracay. The waves gently lapped at the shore, and the sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden hue over the ocean.

Michael opened his system interface and navigated to the shop. With the points he had just earned, he started browsing for the next project. At first, he wanted the warship, but given the circumstances that the United States may start a war soon against China, there wasn't enough time to invest in a ship. Instead, he needs something modular, something that can be easily fabricated.

And that's where the Weather Manipulation Satellite comes in.

[Weather Manipulation Satellite]

[Cost: 350,000 System Points.]

[Description: An advanced satellite capable of manipulating weather patterns within a specified radius. Useful for creating storms, clear skies, or other weather conditions to aid in various strategic operations.]

Yes, you could blame him for acquiring a massive shipyard in Subic and then not pushing forward with the original plan, but things have changed. Besides, he already had a license to build a foreign frigate, so there wasn't any loss from him or to the Philippine Navy.

With that thinking, Michael tapped the purchase button, finalizing the acquisition of the Weather Manipulation Satellite. The interface confirmed the purchase. The blueprint was now in his inventory and when he checked it there, it was glowing.

Now to try it…

Vincent made sure that Bridget was sleeping and wouldn't see him do things that would shock and surprise her. To be even more sure, he went to the bathroom and locked the door.

After that, he tapped the "Virtual World" tab, and a message displayed his confirmation of entering the Virtual World, he tapped without hesitation. Suddenly, Michael was whisked to another world, where this time, it looked like he was in a control center similar to the NASA mission control room.

Monitors and control panels filled the space, each displaying various data points and status updates related to the Weather Manipulation Satellite.

"So this is the nerve center of the weather manipulation satellite…it's like in the storm," Michael commented.

With that, he walked forward and tried experimenting with the capabilities of the satellite. On the screen was a Virtual Earth and in space was the weather manipulation satellite. There are different configurations, one that can increase the temperature in a certain area, lower it, et cetera et cetera.

He decided to try lowering the temperature of a specific area, curious to see how the technology would handle such a complex task.

Selecting a remote, uninhabited region in the Sahara, Michael initiated the process. The satellite's interface displayed various scientific parameters, allowing him to fine-tune the settings for optimal results.

He set the target temperature decrease and watched as the satellite deployed nanotechnology-based cooling systems. These systems dispersed tiny particles into the upper atmosphere, reflecting sunlight and enhancing radiative cooling.

This method was based on scientific principles of albedo modification, where increasing the Earth's reflectivity can reduce the amount of solar energy absorbed, thus cooling the surface.

Encouraged by the success, Michael decided to test the satellite's ability to create more extreme weather events. He selected a random, uninhabited area in the Midwest of the United States to simulate a tornado. He knew the science behind tornado formation involved a combination of atmospheric conditions, including wind shear, moisture, and instability.

He programmed the satellite to manipulate these factors. First, it increased the moisture levels in the lower atmosphere by directing clouds from a nearby water body. Then, it adjusted the wind patterns to create significant wind shear, a key ingredient for tornado formation.

Finally, the satellite introduced atmospheric instability by varying the temperature at different altitudes, creating the perfect conditions for a supercell thunderstorm.

As the satellite executed the commands, Michael watched the virtual display. The clouds thickened, and the wind patterns began to swirl. Within minutes, a supercell thunderstorm formed, characterized by its distinctive rotating updraft.

The satellite then focused on the storm's core, intensifying the rotation. The wind speeds increased dramatically, and soon, a funnel cloud began to form. Michael's heart raced as he watched the funnel touch down, transforming into a full-fledged tornado.

Michael took a deep breath, amazed by what he had just witnessed. Although the weather manipulation satellite was invented to maintain the weather at an optimal level, it can also be used as a weapon.

To test that, Michael decided to try creating a hailstorm. He selected an urban city, the BGC, for the test.

First, Michael programmed the satellite to increase moisture levels in the atmosphere by directing humid air currents from the surrounding ocean. This increase in humidity was crucial for forming the cumulonimbus clouds necessary for hail production.

Next, he adjusted the temperature gradient between the lower and upper atmosphere. By cooling the upper atmosphere while keeping the lower layers warm, he created the instability needed for strong updrafts. These updrafts would carry water droplets high into the atmosphere, where they would freeze and form hailstones.

Finally, Michael programmed the satellite to generate intense wind shear, which would help the storm cells to rotate and sustain themselves longer, enhancing the hail formation process.

Now you might wonder how the satellite is doing all this manipulation stuff, the answer lies in its advanced array of nanotechnology-based systems and high-energy laser arrays. These systems work in tandem to manipulate atmospheric conditions in a targeted area.

Nanotechnology involves releasing tiny particles into the atmosphere, which can either absorb or reflect sunlight, depending on the desired effect. This controls the temperature gradients necessary for weather formation.

The high-energy laser arrays, on the other hand, ionize the air, creating pathways for electrically charged particles. This process allows for precise control of wind patterns and atmospheric pressure, essential for generating and guiding storm systems.

Michael watched the virtual display as the satellite began its work. The humidity levels in the atmosphere over BGC started to rise, and the temperature gradients were meticulously adjusted. The satellite's laser arrays directed the formation of cumulonimbus clouds, their dark, towering shapes signifying the brewing storm.

The wind shear generated by the satellite's systems caused these clouds to rotate and grow in intensity. Within minutes, the first hailstones began to form high in the atmosphere. As the updrafts grew stronger, they carried the hailstones up and down, allowing them to accumulate more layers of ice.

Finally, the hailstones grew too heavy for the updrafts to support. They began to fall, hurtling towards the ground with significant force. The virtual display showed a deluge of hailstones striking BGC, bouncing off buildings and cars, and covering the streets with icy debris.

"This could be it…" Michael grinned.
