Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1004 Why such interest though?

[Eon's POV: ]

"I still can't believe it."

She was grumbling about the vampire Druid relationship as well as how Ivy wasn't a bad person.

"If you think about it, those strange plants were Obviously not good! Like, think about it!

They were born from blood! Not even like they drank blood, but they were born from the blood of a vampire!

Have you heard anything about it? Did you know this was possible???"

She was asking this same question a third time now, so I had no choice but to answer her this time.

"Do you know about the story of an Ancient Wisteria tree? The story of the snake, the monkey, and the flower of love?"

"Hmm?"

It was a simple fairy tale famous in the southern side of the empire so she must have heard it at least once.

"Yes? What about it?"

The story went like this…

In a distant part of the world where only a few small villages existed, there was a certain forest in which a beautiful green snake resided.

This green snake, praised as the guardian deity of the land, was worshipped by many and many people offered presents to this creature in the hopes of receiving the blessing of this creature, which simply was a flower from the great tree that the creature lived upon.

'The creature itself didn't mind sharing the resources of the tree with the others, but it only did so with someone that it liked or was surprised by the gifts that they brought for her.'

The simple story shows how this unique snake lived on this poisonous tree that the humans could not even touch and the contradictory elixir-like nature of the flowers that grew on this tree.

'It's a pretty big tale of a lot of components, but put simply, the snake was a creature that had grown accustomed to simple gifts.'

It only gave the flower to the ones that brought it something new, or something that was brought with Pure intentions as it could sense from the individuals.

'Since it was relatively picky to whom it would give the flowers to, many gifts that people brought for the snake simply were left out before the great tree.'

And here comes the monkey. The opportunist who saw the various gifts that were simply piling up before the tree.

'The creature saw these objects which the creature had no interest in as something he could use for himself.'

And so, he started collecting these discarded or untouched items and either used it for himself, or, went ahead and sold it out on the market for a much cheaper price.

'Then, the monkey had a brilliant idea.'

It thought: 'What if I start selling the flowers of the tree that people want so much?'.

He had seen them giving the snake all kinds of things so it believed there wouldn't be many who wouldn't want to purchase what they could only obtain through expensive or unique gifts.

'At the very least, the money thought that the Humans would pay a good amount of money if he sells the wisteria flower right.'

But to do that, he would need something that would intrat the snake.

"The snake was a vampire."

The only one that could live on the Poisonous tree was the snake, but the monkey could live among the humans as well as in the forest without any problems.

"And the monkey, as you could tell from the story itself, was a Druid."

It was smart, it was also rich now that it had money from selling all the things that the snake did not want.

He had the plan to get more riches as well, he simply needed to get something that the snake would like.

'And thus begins the tale of the monkey's search for the Flower of love that would not only bring the snake and the monkey closer, it would create a bond of eternal love between them which would result in a happy ending for all the Elements involved in the story.'

Now… though pretty fantastical, this was a true story.

"House of Alexia. The daughter of the patriarch who later disowned her about a thousand years ago, used to live in the far south of the western continent.

She was a simple person, but she had a unique trait that only a few vampires possessed."

"Memory reading?" She guessed it correctly.

"Yeah. And not just any kind of memory reading. She could experience whatever event the person might have experienced simply from their blood."

There used to be a vampire in a distant land, possessing powers that could not be fathomed by any humans.

In exchange for their experiences, she offered them riches, wealth, even strength far beyond human capabilities.

However, whenever she used her ability to experience the things the others might have experienced, the people would lose a part of their Ego and become distant to their families and friends.

'It wasn't the same as losing their humanity or soul, but losing a part of their ego was the same as losing something that made them what or who they were.

It wasn't a good thing, and from how people were giving away tons of their experiences, they were losing a core part of their selves.

'It got dangerous, and harmful for the forest which was becoming the victim of the experiences that the humans filled their emptier selves with.'

The Druid who could not see this, approached the vampire and offered his own self, experiences that were countless times more delicious than the humans' and started offering himself to the vampire.

'Strangely enough, the vampire fell in love with the Druid somehow… and then… this story was made.'

Not many people know about the truth of the story since this was a happy ending thing and not many people were hurt in the process.

'We wouldn't know how many people were hurt or what even happened anyway since all of that was erased by the Alexia family millennia ago.'

The only reason I know about it is thanks to a few witness records from texts that survived, but even those texts are a few decades older from the period when that had happened.

'The way they erased all the evidence related to the lady of Alexis as well as anything related to them is just amazing.'

And, it had been one of the reasons I wanted to meet the originator individuals, the heads of these families, at least their clones or substitutes, and see for myself just what kind of beings they were.

'Technically, being direct offsprings of the first beings that were born at the time of Genesis according to the first story or genesis, they are born divinities who, in fact, possess powers that could indicate the time period which is unknown even to me.'

To understand more about my Master who used to be close with these beings, to understand about my powers that I still know little about, as well as to test myself in a new way, I needed to meet those people.

But, the same wasn't true for Rein.

"So, yes. There have been cases even aside from them where a Druid and a vampire got together. However, this is my first time seeing the birth of some kind of life form from such beings of such opposite characteristics."

She wasn't really interested in the families of either of these people, but instead, in the relationship they had itself.

"It's not that strange that they are together since, in a way, it's in their blood to be attracted to things that are as close to nature as possible. And what could be as close to humans as well as nature as the Druids?"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Simply saying, this relationship wasn't unbearable.

She liked him, he was starting to like her as well. And the two were happy together.

They had successfully hidden their relationship from everyone else for long enough now, and they might soon consider taking this to the next step.

'Making those plants was kind of lovely from her side, but it wasn't really appropriate if you think about it from the male's side.'

But that's not something I needed to worry about.

They were adults and this was their problem, not ours.

"Why such interest in this relationship though?" Read latest chapters at empire

What interested me was simply Rein's interest in this relationship as well as how she was seeing this combination as.

"Hmm? What do you mean? Isn't this obviously interesting?"

We were in our dorm room now, so there wasn't anyone else to hinder us.

"Think about it. Those strange plants aside, how do they even do things with her being a Druid with no blood and all?

Isn't being a vampire all about sucking blood, and being a Druid all about taking care of their territory instead of having a clandestine relationship like this?"

"Oh?"

She was being biassed, as well as stereotypical. It was cute, actually.

"You know you're too close minded for someone that can see the Truth of this world, dear?"

A relationship was of many kinds. And they were moving up from a relationship of simple needs and desires to a relationship that was more than just that.

It was simply how things went among all simple people. There was nothing really weird about it.

"What do you mean I'm close minded! Hey!"

Even from the perspective of someone who can see the strings of emotions, the numbers of strength, and even the ability score of everything around her, she wasn't as smart with her ability as she should be.

Perhaps, that was also the reason she couldn't differentiate between various strings despite being able to see them?

'It could be the case, right?'
