Chapter 590: Chapter 590 - Broken’s Hidden Oasis
Chapter 590: Chapter 590 - Broken’s Hidden Oasis
Being in this new place reminded Broken a bit of Moonlight Land, with its similar landscapes and serene atmosphere. He had once wanted to linger there far longer, and now, he had a version of it all to himself.
Thinking about the possibilities, Broken realized he could use some guidance on the features this dimension offered. Was there an assistant or guide who would explain things to him? He decided to wait, just in case.
But there was something else he needed to test first. He murmured a command and summoned his spirits. Instantly, Polly and Pawpaw appeared.
Polly wandered over to his feet and settled down, looking up at him. Meanwhile, Pawpaw bounded around in circles, leaping about energetically. "No monsters here!"
"Master... where are we?" Polly asked, glancing around curiously.
"This is a private pocket dimension, a space that's mine alone," Broken replied. "Let's wait here for someone who can explain exactly what this place is and what we can do in it."
A white energy vortex suddenly appeared before them, and from it emerged a young girl with shoulder-length blonde hair, dressed in a simple, knee-length white dress. She looked no older than fifteen, with a face nearly identical to Cecilia's-only younger and with a more assured expression.
"Hi, Master... I've been waiting for you," she said warmly.
"Cecilia?" Broken murmured.
The girl gave a small bow, still floating a few inches above the ground. "Master, I don't have a name yet, but if you'd like to call me Cecilia, that's fine with me."
So, she hadn't retained her memories from her past life? Yet her voice, her face-they were unmistakably Cecilia's, although this version radiated a confidence that her original self had lacked, no longer timid or fearful.
"Yes, let's call you Cecilia," Broken agreed.
The new Cecilia smiled brightly. "Master, I'll take you on a tour of this floating island and show you some of its exciting features. I think you're going to enjoy what this place has to offer," she explained.
"Yeah, sure, but before we start, I have a question for you," Broken said.
"Yes, Master."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"So... are you still in the form of a Fae, or something else?"
Cecilia smiled and gave a small bow. "Master, I was born here, given knowledge of this island, and tasked with maintaining it. You could say I'm the guardian of this place and will also guide you in building it. My purpose here is entirely tied to the island."
Broken nodded slowly, absorbing her explanation.
"As for what I am now..." she continued, "I'm no longer a Fae like in my previous life. I am now a spirit."
"Do you have any memories from your previous life?" he asked.
"I can confirm that I was only just born, Master, so all I know is about the island and my assigned tasks here."
"Alright." So, she was no longer a Fae. This also meant that Broken had successfully formed a pact with yet another spirit, one created from Cecilia's Soul Stone.
If Broken somehow found a way to bring others here, he couldn't help but consider Cedric. Yet, knowing that his sister had been reborn as a completely new entity, with only a similar face and voice, he wondered if that would bring Cedric comfort, or only deepen his sense of loss. In the end, he set the idea aside.
For now, he needed to grasp the island's full potential. The land stretched far and wide, with the edges of the island bordered by a vast, cloudy blue sky, giving it a surreal floating effect.
It was incredible. He could only imagine the possibilities this pocket dimension offered. What exactly could he build or achieve here?
"Master, before I explain everything you can access in this pocket dimension, would you like to look around first?"
"Yes," Broken replied. "How can we do that?"
"I can accompany you on foot to explore this place, but..."
Before Cecilia could finish, Broken said, "Then I'll ride Polly and fly around."
"Yes!" Cecilia responded excitedly.
Polly quickly darted off and transformed into her larger form. Without hesitation, Broken hopped onto her back, followed closely by Pawpaw, who leaped high and settled in front of him.
With a flap of Polly's wings, she followed Cecilia's lead and took off.
From above, the floating island was an extraordinary sight beyond words. A towering plateau, like a mountain, dominated the center, with a powerful stream cascading down from it and splitting into rivers that flowed outward to the edges, where they fell into unknown depths below.
The island was densely covered in trees, interspersed with clearings that were easily visible from the air. Several large, lake-like pools dotted the landscape, their greenish-blue water crystal clear and glistening in the sunlight.
Cecilia turned to Broken. "Master, what's your first impression of the island from up here?" "Magical!" Broken replied, his voice full of awe. "This place is so... I'm not even sure how to describe it. I'm certain that a landscape this beautiful couldn't be found in my own world. Sure, there are dense forests on Earth, but none arranged so perfectly as this. Or maybe I just haven't seen one like it before."
Polly swooped down to a stretch of white sand near the lake, and Broken jumped off, landing softly.
The sand felt remarkably similar to beach sand beneath his feet, and he couldn't resist slipping off his footwear to feel its warm, fine texture against his skin.
He took a deep breath, gazing at the crystal-clear lake, listening to the gentle sound of lapping water, the fresh scent of the forest filling the air. Strolling to the lake's edge, he found a large rock and settled himself on it, feeling at ease in the quiet surroundings.
Cecilia floated in front of him, her face glowing with delight. "Master, you can take all the time you need here."
"I certainly will," he replied with a small smile, "especially because I enjoy being alone." Broken suddenly leaped into the water, splashing his face and feeling the refreshing coolness. He let himself sink halfway in, enjoying the sensation as the clear lake water enveloped him. Turning with a grin, he splashed water toward Polly and Pawpaw.
"Master!" Polly dodged, darting out of range, but Pawpaw seemed thrilled, leaping eagerly into the water, paddling with only his head above the surface.
"I didn't know a kitten liked playing with water," Broken teased.
"Roar! I'm the mighty Hell Lord! Not a kitten!" Pawpaw protested.
Broken spent a long while there, resting his mind and letting his weariness fade away. He felt as though he could stay here indefinitely. Maybe he could even set up his crafting space here, this place seemed perfect for it.
And what if he invited the others? Ivana, Alora, Freya, and a few other friends?
He hadn't considered that other players might have similar exclusive access, or perhaps they were keeping it to themselves. But a floating island this vast and beautiful, solely for him,
was almost surreal.
His thoughts raced with possibilities. He had his own town outside of this dimension, yet now he also possessed a private sanctuary, a place as remarkable as this. "Cecilia," he asked, breaking his quiet thoughts, "can I bring more people here?"
