As they passed through a small country, a plague had broken out there.

Initially, he didn't think much of it. He and the imperial army had all received the "Radiance" blessing. The plagues that were most difficult and painful for civilians and other countries were mostly immune to them.

So at that time, he did not order the army to bypass the country, but continued to advance along the planned route.
