Chapter 1238: Added together



After the matter in the Poppin Kingdom was settled, we headed off to the next kingdom that needed support.

The four empires were also following along as we went to help the various kingdoms, so they would get the Poppin Kingdom to send reinforcements to the main battlefield.

I didn't need to care about that at all.

The only thing that I needed to care about was the orbs that we farmed from the demons.

I had to work with the elves to imbue elemental energy into these orbs in the first place.

Without the mana that I provided them, they just didn't have enough power to fire all those spells into the orbs.

But this did draw a lot of attention since people were wondering what we were doing when we were firing all of these spells.

That was why we had to go into remote parts of the forest that we were in to do this.

When we came back, there were strange looks that were cast in my direction since I had gone off alone with a bunch of female elves.

All of Moon's subordinates were females for some reason...

I just ignored these looks as more and more monsters that were capable of magic were gathered.

I didn't just use hobgoblins, I also created different undead monsters apart from hobgoblins that I imbued with this elemental energy. It created different undead monsters that had different powers.

After all, it wasn't as if all the monsters could use the elemental energy in the same way.

This was of course a good thing since there were many different roles that had to be fulfilled in an army. The different kinds of monsters were able to fulfill these different roles.

There was also one other thing that I tried doing with these orbs.

It was using the orbs to absorb the divine energy.

The divine energy could be considered a form of elemental energy as well, but it seemed that the orbs just weren't capable of absorbing them. It seemed that there was some kind of natural rejection that came when trying to make these orbs absorb the divine energy.

That wasn't strange since the divine energy was the natural enemy of the corruption energy. The one that created these orbs was the one that controlled that corruption energy.

It only made sense that there was this rejection from the orbs when met with divine energy. But it was disappointing.

If we were able to imbue this divine energy or even the holy energy into the undead monsters, then it would be much easier to take care of the demons with corruption energy in the future. It was just that it didn't work.

The holy energy was the same since it had the same effect on the orb as it was also effective on the corruption energy.

Though it was a strange thought to try and put the holy energy into the undead monsters in the first place.

They were undead, so it should have been something that would have hurt them to do. After these experiments, we headed to the next kingdom and they were being attacked by the demons just like how the Poppin Kingdom was being attacked. That was disappointing since there were only so few of these demons that had the corruption energy in the first place.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

That meant that there were only so many orbs that we could harvest from them.

Since they had a similar size, that meant that all that happened was that they were dealt with in the same way as the demons that we faced in the Poppin Kingdom.

In fact, it was actually easier since we had more undead monsters that had elemental energy imbued in them. That meant that there were more elemental energy attacks that fell down on the demons.

There was no resistance at all as we swept through them.

The only difference this time was how the king of this kingdom treated us.

When we arrived in the capital of this kingdom, there was a proper reception that was hosted and the king received us respectfully.

The effects of what happened in the Poppin Kingdom were more than enough to scare the others into not provoking us.

That was the effect that we wanted to see, but it wasn't as if we had time to remain in this kingdom to celebrate the defeat of the demons. That was because the demons were still out there.

In a single day, we defeated the demons and headed to the next kingdom.

This continued for around a month until we finished providing reinforcements to most of the larger kingdoms that were under attack from the demons.

When it was all over, there was only the main battlefield to worry about.

The four empires had sent delegates to come and watch our battles and they had all been shocked by what happened.

However, what I cared about was how many orbs we had gathered.

Each of the battles that we went to had been considered disappointing since the same thing happened where there were only so many of those demons with corrupted energy in them. No matter which battlefield it was, there just weren't that many of them.

But after going through more than ten battlefields had provided enough orbs that I was able to accomplish my goal.

When all of the orbs that we had gathered from the different battlefields were added together, they came to a decent amount that allowed me to create a proper army of monsters imbued with elemental energy.

At that point, it was impossible to hide what we were doing.

Only I didn't plan on hiding them since there was a reason why I was using them.

This was more than enough to make even the four empires wary of us.

They wouldn't do anything to us, but at least they wouldn't try to pressure us like they did

before.

With this, it could even be said that we were close to becoming the fifth empire.

It was just that we were a bit lacking in terms of resources and land compared to the four

empires.

But in terms of military, we weren't considered inferior.
