Sovereign of the Ashes

Chapter 814: Troublemaker

Chapter 814: Troublemaker

Wild Gorilla God was far from brainless or foolish.

There was an underlying reason why it chose to battle the Magus Civilization to the bitter end.

The other Gorilla Gods did not know that after being rebuffed by the Feral Beast Star, Rank Six Wild Gorilla God had privately reached an agreement with the Gallant Federation.

The Gallant Federation demanded that the Wild Gorilla Clan hold out for another three to five years to prove their resilience and valor.

Only by demonstrating their worthiness would the federation deploy its legions for aid.

In their eyes, the weak were not fit to be allies!

The Gallant Federation would not expend hundreds of trillions of Federal dollars in military expenses to wage a war in an alien star domain with little relevance to them.

As one of the top civilizations, they were not running a charity.

They had already provided significant assistance to the Wild Gorilla Clan before, but the clan’s inability to fight effectively had cost them their homeplane and most of their other planes in their home star domain within just a few years.

To guide the Wild Gorilla Clan, the Gallant Federation even made them a strategic war plan for the next few years.

Just as the Magus Civilization had astrologers who used divination to predict future trends and guide their actions, the Gallant Federation also possessed a method to forecast events.

Their approach involved using an unimaginably vast amount of data for complex calculations. The algorithms and database principles they employed rivaled the sophistication of the Magus Civilization’s astrology.

In fact, some of the conclusions drawn from the federation’s scientific algorithms were even more precise than the prophecies of the Magus Civilization’s astrologers.

This time, the Federation provided Wild Gorilla God with detailed insights into the weaknesses within the Magus Civilization’s military presence in the Wild Star Domain.

They also identified the most critical planes for the Magus Civilization, where the elimination of their Rank Four and above powerhouses would deliver the most significant blow to their forces. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Wild Gorilla God’s task was to lead the remaining army under its command, with the backing of the Gallant Federation, and launch a retaliatory strike.

The goal was to inflict enough damage on the Magus Civilization—who believed they had already secured victory in the war—to make them feel the sting of loss.

Of course, even this level of counterattack would not threaten the foundation of the mighty Magus Civilization.

If Wild Gorilla God and the others followed through with the plan and met their combat objectives, these Gorilla Gods and their remaining Wild Gorilla Army would still inevitably face total annihilation.

Even with a world-class secret treasure in its possession, Wild Gorilla God knew that returning to the Wild Star Domain, already occupied by the Magus Civilization Army, was suicide.

The powerful mages of the Magus World would ensure he had no second chance to escape.

Wild Gorilla God understood this all too well, which was why he kept the Gallant Federation’s promise to send troops a secret.

There was no guarantee that the federation would really come to their aid even if they managed to hold out for three to five years.

Placing one’s life on the line for another’s promise was the height of folly.

If Wild Gorilla God had shared this hope with its subordinates and the Gallant Federation failed to deliver, it would not only make it seem “foolish” but also utterly “naive.”

The proud Wild Gorilla God refused to be remembered with such scorn after fighting so hard for survival.

Hence, it preferred to keep this matter to itself for now.

If the Gallant Federation did send troops, it would be a boon, and the Wild Gorilla Clan might find a way to live.

Even if they ultimately abandoned them, Wild Gorilla God was already prepared for the worst.

Having never suffered defeat in battle, it would rather die on its feet than live in shame.

In truth, Wild Gorilla God’s willingness to accept the Gallant Federation’s war plan stemmed from its own convictions.

It neither wanted to flee nor was it willing to consider that.

Perhaps among the dozen or so Gorilla Gods surrounding it, there were cowards or those who clung to the desire for survival.

However, under the pressure of Beauty Gorilla God’s fierce determination and with Wild Gorilla God leading them, the remnants of their army would charge back into the Wild Star Domain and fight as if they had nothing left to lose.

Even if Wild Gorilla God were to meet its end in battle, it was determined to take as many foes with it as possible.

At its core, it was a fearless troublemaker.

In terms of individual strength, the Blue Violet Star’s Violet Dragon God was slightly stronger than Wild Gorilla God.

Violet Dragon God had gained renown earlier and had been a Rank Six for longer.

However, over the past tens of thousands of years, it had been continually suppressed by the world led by Wild Gorilla God.

Wild Gorilla God’s power stemmed from its arrogance and indomitable fighting spirit.

Even against stronger and more numerous foes, it refused to retreat.

If there came a day when its will to fight waned and it chose survival over battle, it would cease to be Wild Gorilla God.

Inflicting damage on the Magus World and dying an honorable death was the end Wild Gorilla God envisioned for itself.

From the moment Feylis, the Rank Six mage of the Magus Civilization, struck its face with a flaming whip in the battle of Wild Gorilla City, Wild Gorilla God had resolved never to relinquish its home without a fierce fight.

“Let’s go!” Wild Gorilla God commanded its subordinates.

As the Wild Gorilla God led the dozen or so Gorilla Gods and the remnants of the Wild Gorilla Army away, a distant figure watched from the other end of the asteroid belt.

This Rank Six being, not far below Wild Gorilla God in strength, observed the Wild Gorillas’ retreat.

A Rank Five creature with orange-spotted skin asked respectfully, “My lord, are we really just going to watch these Wild Gorillas march to their deaths?”

The Rank Six entity standing before it was the strongest powerhouse in the Feral Beast Star and its surrounding planes—the Tyrant Tiger King.

Tyrant Tiger King bore a striking resemblance to Milena, the white tiger allied with the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring.

Both had the appearance of a tiger with white-feathered wings, though there were differences.

Tyrant Tiger King had yellow fur but Milena’s fur was pure white.

Moreover, Tyrant Tiger King had three pairs of wings while Milena had only a pair.

At the base of Tyrant Tiger King’s wings, six metal rings gleamed, their true purpose unknown but certainly significant.

In terms of power, Milena, still at Rank Four, was no match for the Rank Six Tyrant Tiger King.

“We were actually prepared to assist by sending reinforcements, along with the Gallant Federation, but Wild Gorilla Clan was losing too quickly!” Tyrant Tiger King replied.

“In just over two years, they lost around eighty out of the hundred or so complete planes in the Wild Gorilla Star Domain at one go! The speed at which the Magus Civilization can mobilize for war is terrifying, with god-level powerhouses appearing one after another,” it continued.

“If it took them only a few years to topple the Wild Star Domain. How long do you think our Feral Beast Star Domain will hold out if they turn their gaze toward us?” Tyrant Tiger King asked its trusted subordinate.
