"What does that mean? Are we going to fight to see who gets to control my body?" I said, as I gouged the inside of my hand with my nails to draw blood. I put my hand against my leg and the blood ran down my leg into the pool of blood below.

"Yes! That's what we're going to do!" He said like I had just given him the idea.

"What? Did you think I was just going to let you take over my body?" I said.

"Kind of. I mean, I know your true desires, despite how hard you try to push them down and ignore them. I know you want to rule over everything and everyone. As a benevolent ruler, sure, but a ruler nonetheless. I know you desire more than just one woman. I saw the way you were looking at Alice. I know you want her," Evil Dylan said.

"What do you mean I'm holding myself back? What more could I be doing to get stronger? It feels like I'm already doing everything I can," I said.

You have the ability to unlock dormant abilities in others, but you have to perform the full ritual. "I would only be able to do this for female vampires though. I'm not bisexual. What about male vampires who find themselves under my care?" I said.

"You can still give them your blood. They'll only become half as strong as the women, but they will still be stronger than any vampire ever before," he said.

"For the sex empowerment to work, I assume I'd have to—" I said.

"Yes. Your DNA has to permeate their being to unlock their hidden potential," he said.

"Oh. Is that why it hasn't worked with Victoria then?" I said.

"Yes. You have to complete the union all the way to the end for the full ritual to be performed and to unlock their hidden potential," he said.

"I see," I said.

"Since we're on the subject of potential though, you need to start consuming blood, instead of all these other methods. Blood is the strongest and purest way to become stronger," he said.

"You can extract the full extent of a person's or animal's life essence through blood. You can also gain their skills and abilities and memories. So much can be achieved through blood that can't be achieved otherwise."

"I thought if I killed, I got their full life essence," I said.

"No. You receive a fraction of life essence when you kill. It's still more than a normal vampire can extract from blood, but it is but a small fraction of the being's total life essence," he said.

"Ok," I said. Before he could take a single step, blood spikes shot up out of the blood around him. They pierced his body, goring him. Twelve spikes pierced through his body.

I had sent my blood into the blood on the ground to set up this trap to activate as soon as he was done talking.

He had a look of betrayal on his face. "Why? This isn't a fair fight," he said.

"I never said I was fair. No one gets to pilot my body, but me," I said. "I guess you weren't the Evil Dylan after all." I laughed.

Evil Dylan hung on the spikes and spat out blood. "Take heed my advice. Unlock your full potential," he said.

"I will. Don't you worry your pretty little head about that," I said. "Thank you for your help." I rubbed the hair on his head as it slumped over and the life drained from his body.

I looked out at the wasteland of blood surrounding us and said, "This is actually kind of nice. I would take a vacation here, if I didn't have to spend it alone."

A dark cloud rolled in with lightning and blood rain. I looked at the cloud as a bolt of lightning came down and struck me, filling my vision with bright light.
